Filming schedule

The plan was to finish filming in 4 days, so I created a schedule to organize my days

Reflection

After presenting our products to our teacher, I received some useful feedback. 

• First, using night time shots may not be the wisest thing to do as it reduces the quality, especially due to the fact that I don't have access to professional lighting that could possibly help eliminate that issue. 
• Secondly, for the skateboard scene, some shots were unnecessary, such as the characters picking up the skateboards and some of the shots of the stairs. 
• For the sunset scene, the shots weren't symmetrical so I need to reposition the camera to combat this issue. 

This feedback has given me a clear direction to take when creating this music video and so, it was time to go back to the drawing board.

 I had to redo the storyboard due to the fact that I had a different vision for the scenes than before

In the making..

 I finally got to creating the social media page dedicated to the artist. It's still in the works, however, engagement has been positive so far. More posts will definitely be added.

Editing process

I tried color grading and followed this tutorial, and also downloaded some LUTs I found on google

Editing

 For editing I used Premiere Pro, but unfortunately found that my laptop struggles to run the program. Because of this, I limited my use of Premiere by using it strictly for color grading and any transitions if necessary. As for cutting the clips, I opted for CapCut as it is able to run on my laptop. However, in the future, I'm looking into switching to Davinci Resolve due to the fact that it's more user friendly

 I filmed a few trial shots of the bedroom scenes. I tried to make the lighting unique by using purple LED lights, but found that this reduced the quality of the shots.

Digipak inspo

 I gathered a bunch of inspo, both from already existing albums to images I thought were cool

What is a digipak?

 As part of our minor task, we're required to create a digipak along with our product. I wasn't quite familiar with this term so I went ahead and did my research to find out what it was. 

 

After that, I sat down and had a conversation with M4rc(the artist) to do some research on existing digipaks and what designs he believes best represent his vision. In the next post I'll attach a bunch of inspo pictures

Filming Day 1

On this filming day, I didn't create a schedule but we did a bunch of test shots to figure out what would work and what wouldn't for the skateboard scene. I had some creative ideas, as can be seen below.

 Before I started filming again, I created my artists' social media page on Instagram. I chose my brother as the artist and this account will serve the purpose of promoting his debut as a singer, which is a deviation from his usual music that falls under the rap and pluggnb genres.
